#### Key Responsibilities
As a NICU Registered Nurse at Midlands Specialist Private Hospital, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care to critically ill neonates. Key duties include:
- **Improving Care Delivery:** Enhance patient care processes to optimize satisfaction among both patients and physicians.
- **Ensuring Quality and Safety:** Prioritize productivity, safety, and quality through effective problem-solving skills.
- **System-Wide Initiatives:** Support and implement system-wide improvements that advance holistic, high-quality patient care.
- **Goal-Oriented Nursing Standards:** Collaborate in setting goals, objectives, policies, and maintaining nursing standards for NICU.
- **Critical Care Management:** Independently manage critically ill patients, including those under investigation (PUI) and on respiratory support, as needed.
- **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure all nursing activities comply with relevant legislation and South African Nursing Council (SANC) standards.
#### Essential Requirements
To qualify for this NICU nursing opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- **Educational Qualifications:** Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science.
- **NICU Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- **Midwifery Qualification:** Essential qualification in Midwifery.
- **Private Healthcare Experience:** Prior experience in a private hospital setting is advantageous.
- **SANC Registration:** Active registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
- **Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate:** Possession of a current BLS certificate is advantageous.
