### Position Overview: Maternity Unit Manager

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Quality Assurance & Patient Care:** Oversee quality management systems to ensure all maternity patients receive exceptional care. Implement protocols aligned with best practices and standards of excellence in maternal healthcare.

- **Budget & Stock Management:** Efficiently manage the unit’s budget and ensure the optimal stock of necessary supplies and resources.

- **Infection Control:** Enforce infection control standards to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.

- **Patient & Doctor Satisfaction:** Drive processes to enhance satisfaction and build a reputation for outstanding care.

- **Staff Management & Development:** Take charge of staffing, recruitment, and skill development to ensure a competent, motivated, and compassionate team.

- **Holistic Care Delivery:** Lead initiatives to provide holistic, quality patient care that aligns with hospital-wide goals.

  

**Essential Requirements:**

- **Registered Nurse** with a valid SANC registration.

- **Diploma in General Nursing Science with Midwifery** (required).

- Minimum **5 years of experience in Maternity**, with proven managerial skills.

- **Private Hospital experience** is advantageous.

- **Degree in Nursing Administration** and current BLS certification are beneficial.
