### **Job Responsibilities:**

As a Breakdown Crew member, your key responsibilities will include:

- Responding to breakdown calls and assisting with towing buses to the depot or mechanical service areas.

- Performing minor repairs such as reconnecting parts, jump-starting dead batteries, changing tires, and more.

- Ensuring buses are safely transported without causing further damage.

- Dismantling damaged buses to salvage usable parts.

- Maintaining breakdown tools, equipment, and tow trucks.

- Regularly updating the team and clients on the status of breakdowns.

### **Key Qualifications and Experience:**

- **Matric/Grade 12 Certificate** or equivalent at NQF level 4.

- A **Valid Driver's License Code C/EC** with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

- At least **6 months of experience** using breakdown tools and equipment.

### **Core Competencies:**

- Ability to **safely tow/transport buses** without causing damage.

- Familiarity with **road safety regulations** during towing.

- Proficiency in using **towing-related tools and equipment**.

- Basic mechanical repair skills.

- Strong **time management** skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- The successful candidate will need to enter a **permanent employment contract** and an **annual performance contract**.

- Candidates must undergo **security vetting**.

- **Foreign-acquired qualifications** must be **SAQA accredited**.
