**Editing and Proofreading Intern**

**Location:** Thulamela, South Africa  

**Internship Type:** Full-Time  

**Duration:** 6 Months (November 2024 - May 2025)  

**Stipend:** R5,700 per month

### Key Responsibilities:

As an Editing and Proofreading Intern, you’ll be responsible for:

- Performing comprehensive editing steps on manuscripts to ensure quality and readability.

- Ensuring clarity, coherence, and logical flow in written content.

- Verifying the accuracy of information and cross-referencing sources.

- Collaborating with writers to improve and refine content through constructive feedback.

- Maintaining consistency in style, format, and tone by adhering to established style guides.

### Internship Requirements:

To be eligible, applicants must:

- Hold an NQF Level 6 qualification in Media Studies (a Creative Writing Diploma is advantageous).

- Be under the age of 35.

- Reside in Thulamela.

- Be currently unemployed.

- Possess strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
