### Salary and Benefits

- **Job Level**: Scale

- **Annual Salary**: R239,052 to R332,016

- **Total Estimated Remuneration Package**: R336,203 to R454,528 (includes benefits)

### Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to safely transport passengers and commuters across Tshwane using the city's public transport infrastructure. Drivers will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient, safe, and reliable services for all passengers.

### Key Responsibilities

- **Passenger Safety**: Ensure the safe transportation of passengers.

- **Automated Fare Collection (AFC)**: Manage the AFC system to confirm passengers tap in and tap out.

- **Route Management**: Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.

- **Compliance**: Follow all traffic rules in line with the **National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996)** and other applicable laws.

- **Special Assignments**: Perform additional tasks as instructed.

### Appointment Requirements

- **Educational Requirement**: Grade 10 or equivalent.

- **Experience**: Proven experience driving heavy vehicles.

- **Licenses**: Must hold a valid **Code C, EC1 (04), EC, or C1 (04)** driving license.

- **PrDP**: Must have a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).

- **Background**: No criminal record.

- **Physical Condition**: Must be physically fit and healthy.

- **Availability**: Willing and able to work shifts and overtime as needed.

- **Skills**: Strong leadership, organizational, and budget management skills.

- **Communication**: Advanced linguistic proficiency and excellent communication skills.
