### Bursary Amount and Eligibility Requirements


The bursary provides up to **R50,000.00** per year and is awarded to South African citizens who meet the following criteria:

- Must have completed Grade 12 (Matric).

- Preference is given to previously disadvantaged groups and individuals with disabilities.

- Applicants should be full-time students enrolled in a recognized institution of higher learning.

- Candidates who have participated in public service internships previously are **not eligible**.


#### Application Process


1. **Complete the Official Application Form**: Obtainable from [DFFE’s website](https://www.dffe.gov.za).

2. **Include Required Documents**:

   - Motivation letter

   - Certified copies of qualifications and latest academic records

   - Certified copy of ID (both applicant and parents/guardian)

   - Proof of registration (if already enrolled)

   - Latest Grade 12 results (for current Grade 12 students)

   - Proof of income for parents/guardian, or affidavits if unemployed/deceased.


3. **Submit Application**: Applications must be hand-delivered or couriered to one of the specified DFFE offices in **Pretoria or Cape Town**. No faxed or emailed applications will be accepted.
