**Salary Scale:** R 644,518.52 – R 922,597.66 CTC per annum


Magalies Water is excited to announce an opening for a **Boilermaker** in our South-West Region Maintenance Department. ### **Minimum Requirements for the Boilermaker Position**

- **Educational Background:** 

  - Grade 12 (Matric).

  - N3-N6 in Engineering Studies.

- **Certification:** 

  - Boilermaker trade test certificate.

- **Experience:** 

  - Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in boiler-making.

- **Licenses:** 

  - Valid driver’s license.

### **Key Responsibilities as a Boilermaker**

This boilermaker role at Magalies Water requires technical expertise and hands-on skills, focusing on equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance. Responsibilities include:


1. **Equipment Inspection and Repair**

   - Dismantle equipment to identify defects in components.

   - Replace or repair parts to extend the lifespan of plant machinery.


2. **Welding and Fabrication**

   - Perform coded welding and fabricate pipes, utilizing general welding techniques to repair equipment.

   - Work with heavy-metalworking machines, such as brakes and drill presses, to shape and fabricate parts.


3. **Maintenance and Condition Monitoring**

   - Conduct condition monitoring on plant equipment to identify potential issues in advance.

   - Implement the maintenance plan and maintain all tools and machinery.


4. **Breakdown Response and Repairs**

   - Attend to equipment breakdowns and execute corrective maintenance as needed.

   - Repair or replace components like safety valves, regulators, and structural parts using specialized tools.


5. **Compliance with Safety Standards**

   - Follow SHE procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

   - Complete job and service records to ensure accurate record-keeping.
