### **Job Purpose & Responsibilities:**

As an Artisan - Qualified Fitter, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining, repairing, and installing plant equipment, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facility. This hands-on role is ideal for a Fitter with significant experience in mining or heavy industrial settings, who can manage various mechanical tasks efficiently and accurately.

#### **Key Responsibilities:**

- **Maintenance & Repair:** Conduct maintenance, repairs, and installations on screening and crusher plant equipment to ensure high productivity.

- **Equipment Efficiency:** Align and optimize equipment for maximum operational efficiency according to company standards.

- **Housekeeping:** Maintain clean and safe work areas around all plant equipment.

- **Preventative Maintenance:** Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure seamless operations.

- **Record Keeping:** Complete job cards, update maintenance logs, and report equipment status to supervisors.

- **Mechanical Diagnostics:** Identify and address mechanical faults, implementing timely repairs to keep downtime to a minimum.

- **Compliance:** Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe work environment.

- **Fabrication & Fitting:** Use tools and machining techniques to fabricate and fit components as needed.

- **Tool Management:** Ensure that all tools and equipment are kept in safe working condition.

### **Minimum Requirements:**

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

- **Education:** NTC3 or Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)

- **Certification:** Red-Seal Trade Test Certificate in Fitting

- **Medical Clearance:** Must be medically fit and pass the RFA and Psychomotor Dover tests

- **Driver’s License:** Valid Code 08 Driver's License (compulsory)

### **Experience:**

- **Industry Background:** Minimum of 5 years working with screening and crusher plants, preferably in mining or heavy industrial sectors.

- **Technical Skills:** Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics related to crushing and screening equipment.

- **Reading Technical Diagrams:** Proficiency in reading technical diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

- **Physical Stamina:** Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and independently when needed.
