**Position Overview:**

The City of Johannesburg is seeking individuals to join the Health Department for a range of roles including Data Capturer, Queue Marshal, and General Worker. These positions play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of health services by ensuring accurate data management, assisting patients, and maintaining the cleanliness of health facilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **General Worker:**
   - Clean waiting areas, consulting rooms, offices, kitchens, and laundries.
   - Ensure all surfaces used for clinical procedures are dusted and sanitized.
   - Sort and change soiled linen in consulting rooms.
   - Empty dustbins and keep clinic surroundings free of litter.

2. **Data Capturer:**
   - Capture and update client records in health facilities.
   - Compile monthly statistics on clinic visitors.
   - File client records in alphabetical or chronological order and retrieve files as needed.
   - Schedule patient appointments and assist in ordering clinic supplies.

3. **Queue Marshal:**
   - Welcome and guide patients, ensuring smooth flow within the clinic.
   - Screen patients in waiting areas and manage queues.
   - Provide assistance at the helpdesk and respond to patient inquiries.

**Requirements:**
- Grade 10 or higher qualification.
- Youth between the ages of 18 and older are encouraged to apply.

- Knowledge of the City's processes, policies, and procedures related to health and social services.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic devices (email, internet).
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative where necessary.
