### **About Carpe Diem School:**
Carpe Diem School is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to learners with special needs. We are currently seeking a passionate and hardworking SGB Class Assistant - General Worker to join our team and make a positive impact in our school community.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
- Support teachers in SASL, ASD, SID, and SLD classes.
- Assist with duties on school premises or buses before, during, and after school hours, including weekends.
- Perform cleaning tasks at the school and on school grounds and facilities.
- Provide support to special needs learners in classrooms, bathrooms, and assist with medical needs as required.
- Assist in various tasks around the school and hostels during school holidays as needed by the SGB.
### **Requirements:**
- **Police Clearance:** Valid SAPS police clearance not older than 3 months or proof of payment.
- **Availability:** Must not be engaged in any studies or training.
- **Language Proficiency:** Must speak, read, and write in Afrikaans, English, and/or isiXhosa.
- **Transportation:** Own transport to and from work and own accommodation in George.
- **Health:** Must be in very good health and capable of working with learners who have physical support needs.
- **Experience and Passion:** Prior experience and a passion for supporting teachers and special needs learners in a classroom setting.
- **Work Ethic:** Good work ethic, punctuality, positive attitude, and willingness to collaborate with other staff members. A good attendance record is vital.
### **Benefits:**
- **Salary:** R5,350 per month (before UIF).
