**Salary:** R25,000 – R27,500 (depending on qualifications and experience)


**About the Company:**

Our client, a well-established audit and accountancy firm in Stellenbosch, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Manager to join their team immediately or as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who has completed SAIPA articles and is looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.


**Position Overview:**

The ideal candidate will have completed their SAIPA articles, preferably at a small to medium accounting/auditing firm, and possess at least two years of post-articles experience. This role involves overseeing the accounting department's daily operations, managing SAIPA trainees, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of various accounting tasks.


**Key Responsibilities:**

- Write up complex accounting records for clients using Pastel and Xero.

- Review monthly bookkeeping and VAT tasks performed by SAIPA trainees.

- Reconcile debtors and creditors monthly, and train SAIPA trainees on reconciliation processes.

- Calculate VAT and other SARS requirements on a monthly basis.

- Prepare and review management accounts.

- Manage and supervise SAIPA staff to achieve departmental goals.

- Provide daily assistance, guidance, and training to SAIPA trainees on bookkeeping, taxes, and SARS submissions.

- Prepare accounting work for annual financial statements.

- Prepare and review financial statements.

- Perform independent reviews.

- Prepare and review tax returns.

- Review work completed by supervised staff before partner review, where applicable.

- Implement and evaluate internal controls.

- Maintain client interaction and relations.


**Requirements:**

- Grade 12 certificate.

- B.Acc, BCom Accounting, B.Compt, or equivalent degree.

- At least 2 years of post-SAIPA articles experience.

- Completed SAIPA articles with a medium or small firm preferred.

- Proficiency in CaseWare, Excel, and Word.

- Knowledge of accounting systems such as Pastel, Sage, and Xero.

- Willingness to work overtime to meet client deadlines.

- Valid driver's license and own transport.
