**Position:** Fleet Controller

**Qualifications & Competencies:**

- Grade 12 certificate

- 3-5 years of experience in a Supervisory/Managerial role within the long-distance transport industry

- Relevant tertiary qualification in logistics (preferred)

- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills

- Strong planning and communication skills (verbal & written)

- Bilingualism is essential

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Asset & Staff Management:** Oversee the assets and staff under your control, ensuring all objectives set in the budget process are met.

- **Vehicle Utilization:** Optimize vehicle usage by planning loads, routes, fuel, overnight locations, etc.

- **Service Level Agreements:** Ensure SLAs between MacDonald's Transport and its customers are consistently met.

- **Compliance:** Ensure all assets and staff adhere to statutory and legal requirements. Manage accident/incident investigations and documentation.

- **Maintenance:** Ensure all equipment and machinery are serviced within allowed intervals, and COFs are updated.

- **Discipline:** Maintain high levels of discipline within operations.

- **Customer Service:** Ensure staff under your control provide excellent service to customers.

- **Leave Schedules:** Prepare and submit leave schedules to avoid impacting customer requirements.

- **Administration:** Handle administrative duties and document control. Resolve queries and problems efficiently.

- **Drive-Cam & Tracking:** Manage Drive-Cam and tracking reports.

- **Reporting:** Prepare and submit monthly management reports.

- **Work Hours:** Must be willing to work long hours and weekends when required.
