**About the Opportunity:**

The Western Cape Government is offering learnership opportunities for young individuals interested in Bricklaying (Masonry) and Carpentry. This program is designed to provide practical training and hands-on experience in construction. Successful applicants will work on various building sites across the Western Cape and will be required to sign a 12-month Training Agreement.


**Minimum Requirements:**

- Age: 18 to 30 years old

- Residency: Must be a resident of the Central Karoo District

- Education:

  - Bricklaying: Grade 10 or TVET equivalent with a pass in Mathematical Literacy

  - Carpentry: Grade 10 or TVET equivalent with a pass in Mathematical Literacy


**Other Requirements:**

- Must enjoy good health and be willing to undergo a medical and substance abuse examination.

- Must be willing to work on a construction site as part of the training program.

- Must be willing to travel and work at various building sites across the Western Cape.

Applicants can use facilities at local libraries, Thusong Centres, E-Centres, Youth Cafés, or Internet Cafés to register on the SA Youth Mobi platform. Alternatively, personal smartphones can also be used for registration.
