**About the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC):**

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is responsible for facilitating free and fair elections in South Africa. We are seeking Electoral Staff to work at various Voting Stations during election periods. This is a temporary position with remuneration based on days engaged/trained.

**Position Overview:**

As Electoral Staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of voting processes at assigned Voting Stations. Your responsibilities will include assisting voters, managing voting equipment, maintaining orderliness, and upholding election integrity.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist voters with the voting process.

- Ensure the correct use and functioning of voting equipment.

- Maintain order and security at the Voting Station.

- Adhere to electoral regulations and procedures.

- Provide assistance to fellow staff members as needed.

- Report any irregularities or incidents to supervisors.

- Uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and neutrality throughout the election process.

**Requirements:**

- Must be a registered voter.

- South African citizenship is mandatory.

- Possess a valid bank account for remuneration purposes.
