**Internship Description:**  

The Donor Engagement and Events Intern (DEEI) at MSF Southern Africa (MSF SA) will be part of the retention and loyalty team in the Fundraising department. The DEEI will provide support on all fundraising events and merchandise, ensuring the administration and logistical running of events. This internship offers a monthly stipend of R 5000 and valuable hands-on experience in donor engagement and fundraising.

**Responsibilities:**  

- Support the planning and organizing of fundraising events such as marathons, webinars, school visits, and donor fundraising initiatives.

- Record all donations on the database, including EFT, crowdfunding, and merchandise website donations.

- Facilitate the delivery of merchandise and events logistics.

- Communicate with donors to thank/welcome them and encourage engagement.

- Research and suggest new ways for events fundraising initiatives.

- Respond to inquiries and requests from current and prospective donors.

- Update donor profiles and ensure timely acknowledgment of event gifts.

- Support other fundraising units and departments with event-related inquiries.

- Maintain and manage the merchandise website.

**Requirements:**  

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or related fields.

- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

- Computer literacy and ability to work with CRM databases.

- Passion for humanitarian causes and donor engagement.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
