**Position Overview:**  

The Assistant Officer Security will play a crucial role in safeguarding Medupi Power Station's assets, personnel, and operations. This position requires individuals with a solid background in security management, relevant experience, and a proactive approach to security challenges.

**Key Responsibilities:**  

- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities.

- Conduct security checks and inspections of personnel, vehicles, and equipment entering or leaving the premises.

- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action as per established protocols.

- Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, observations, and activities.

- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to address security concerns and implement corrective measures.

- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and training programs.

- Stay updated on industry trends, security technologies, and best practices to enhance security operations.

**Minimum Requirements:**  

- National Diploma in Security Management/Policing/Security Risk Management at NQF level 6 with 240 credits.

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant security-related experience.

- Private Security Industry Regulation Authority (PSIRA) Grade B certification.
