**Position: Mechanised Miner (C1)**

**About Booysendal Platinum Mine:**

Situated on the border of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, our mine operates with a board and pillar mining layout, utilizing cutting-edge trackless mechanised mining equipment. As part of Northam Platinum Limited, we pride ourselves on innovation and technical expertise in the platinum group metals sector.

**Role Requirements:**

- Direct and supervise drilling and blasting activities per shift

- Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4

- Blasting Certificate of Competency

- MQA Fall of Ground campaign certificate of competency (advantageous)

- Underground Medical Certificate of Fitness

- 3-5 years' experience in underground trackless mining

- Working knowledge of health and safety procedures

**Key Performance Areas:**

- Employee capacity building and performance management

- Support the optimisation of the shaft

- Planning and controlling of crew

- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times

- Submit accurate time and attendance sheets monthly

- Familiarity with health and safety procedures, policies, and records
