### Job Position: Mortician  

#### Key Responsibilities  

As a Mortician at Tshipi-Noto Funeral Home, your primary duties will include:  

- **Identification and Handling of Bodies**: Ensuring accurate identification and respectful handling of deceased individuals.  

- **Body Placement and Maintenance**: Proper shelving and arrangement of bodies within the cold room.  

- **Preparation for Viewing and Burial**:  

  - Examining bodies and arranging embalming procedures.  

  - Dressing the deceased for viewing.  

  - Casing and coffining the deceased in preparation for delivery.  

- **Cold Room Maintenance**: Monitoring cold room conditions to ensure proper temperature and functionality.  

- **Mortuary Management**: Upkeep of mortuary cleanliness, ordering preservation materials, and maintaining records.  

#### Required Qualifications and Skills  

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:  

**Qualifications:**  

- Grade 12 (Matric Certificate).  

- A Certificate in Mortuary Science or Embalming (advantageous).  

- Valid driver’s license.  

- At least **2 years of work experience** as a mortician.  

**Skills and Competencies:**  

- Good communication skills.  

- Exceptional organizational abilities.  

- Strong interpersonal and people skills.  

- Physically strong and able to work for extended periods.  

- Knowledge of diverse religions, cultures, and customs.
