SAVF Kleinspoortjies Pre-Primary cum Crèche in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a dynamic and qualified **Principal Head of Daycare Centre** to join their team.  

### **Position Overview**  

As the Principal Head, you will be responsible for managing the daycare centre’s operations, ensuring quality service delivery, maintaining financial control, and implementing educational programs that align with the Department of Basic Education standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a passion for nurturing young minds.

- **Salary**: Competitive, based on SAVF scales

### **Key Responsibilities**  

1. **Leadership and Management**  

   - Oversee staff, ensuring effective team collaboration.  

   - Maintain discipline and a positive working environment.  

2. **Quality Service Delivery**  

   - Ensure educational programs meet ECD standards.  

   - Monitor and improve the quality of care provided to children.  

3. **Financial and Stock Control**  

   - Manage the daycare’s finances responsibly.  

   - Oversee procurement and stock management.  

4. **Teaching and Development**  

   - Actively participate in teaching activities.  

   - Address the developmental needs of children effectively.

### **Minimum Requirements**  

- **Education**:  

  - Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.  

  - Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or Foundation Phase Education.  

- **Experience**:  

  - Proven experience in ECD.  

  - Strong managerial and organizational skills.  

- **Skills and Attributes**:  

  - Fluency in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal).  

  - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  

  - Computer literacy.  

  - Responsible, trustworthy, and patient.  

- **Additional Requirements**:  

  - SAPS Clearance Certificate.  

  - Good physical and mental health.
