## **Job Responsibilities**  

The Area Facilities Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of SAVF facilities, including:  

- Financial management of all SAVF facilities.  

- Compliance with SAVF policies, legal requirements, and applicable legislation (e.g., Older Persons Act 13/2006 and NPO Act 71/1997).  

- Comprehensive care of residents and community services for the elderly.  

- Collaboration with the SAVF Board, Regional Manager, and Executive Committee to develop and execute strategies.  

### **Core Duties**  

1. **Leadership & Management**:  

   - Lead and motivate facility teams with effective communication and conflict resolution skills.  

   - Execute management functions such as planning, organizing, guidance, and control.  

   - Provide multi-site management, ensuring smooth operations across facilities.  

2. **Financial Oversight**:  

   - Manage budgets, accounting processes, and overall financial health of the facilities.  

   - Utilize financial expertise to streamline processes and ensure compliance.  

3. **Facility Operations**:  

   - Oversee office, equipment, and property management.  

   - Maintain standards for quality eldercare services.  

4. **Personnel Management**:  

   - Recruit, manage, and develop staff to maintain operational efficiency.  

   - Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

## **Qualifications & Experience**  

### **Minimum Requirements**  

- **Education**:  

  - Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate.  

  - A relevant degree, such as:  

    - Bachelor’s in Management, Business Administration, Accountancy, or Nursing (BNurs).  

    - MBA (Master of Business Administration).  

    - Management Development Program (MDP).  

- **Experience**:  

  - At least 4 years of experience in eldercare.  

  - 5+ years of management experience, including financial and personnel management.  

  - Proven expertise in multi-site management.  

- **Skills**:  

  - Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.  

  - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.  

  - Familiarity with relevant legislation, particularly the **Older Persons Act 13/2006** and **NPO Act 71/1997**.  

- **Personal Attributes**:  

  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  

  - Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.  

  - Analytical mindset to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
